Because we all need a little motivation.
I’m a firm believer in rewards for effort. And this IS a major effort, so it deserves major rewards.
I have some major rewards in mind for this to mark each 10-pound milestone. I may do some minor rewards (like my 2-pound challenge, or mid-way rewards for every 5 pounds) to keep me motivated and help me through any plateaus, but I’m saving the major rewards for the 10-pound marks.
WHEN I hit my goal of going below 170 (securely and correctly below 170, not just something like waking up dehydrated one morning from a bout of food poisoning) I want to get my ears pierced with a second hole. Right now I only have one standard piercing in my ears. I’d like a second. Nothing too fancy.
WHEN I hit my goal of going below 160 (same criteria as above)…I need to think of something. At this point I will probably need some new clothes.
WHEN I hit my goal of going below 150 (same criteria as above), I want to get this phoenix pendant.
WHEN I hit my goal of going below 140 (same criteria as above)…again, I need to think of something. I am considering a new pair (or two) of jeans.
WHEN I hit my goal of going below 130 (same criteria as above), I would like to get a helix piercing in one ear.
WHEN I hit my goal of 120 or below (same criteria, and no lower than 115), I would like to get a tattoo of a phoenix to mark my personal transformation. I would like to get it in the lower back “tramp stamp” area. I know, I know…but I like the way it looks, it’s just for me and marking my own transformation, and doesn’t have to be shown off unless I want to. This way it won’t “interfere” with a professional image at a job.
As you might have guessed, the title of this blog is my quest to attain this goal of 120, and earn this tattoo.
